Elaine and David Crews offer you a warm welcome to their historic village house in
Verteillac, south west France.
The house dates from the 13th Century, and was featured in the French national magazine
'Maison Villages and Campagne 2005'. This unique house has been sympathetically restored
and converted by Elaine and David, and contains beautiful fireplaces and massive
beams with antique wooden and stone floors. In contrast its en-suite bedrooms are
fitted with modern bathroom suites and accessories.
Whether you are looking for a travel break, a weekend or longer stay, then La Porte
Rouge is for you. You will be able to sink into the sumptuous sofas in the baronial
lounge or relax in the sunny courtyard. During the season (usually May to October)
you can swim or just laze by the 10 metre salt pool.
Why not enjoy a winter break when you can experience the grand medieval open fire,
combined with full central heating, to ensure your comfort at any time of the year.
